Free Valuable Deloitte-Led Enrichment Opportunity In Search of Aspiring Youth

JKYog is hosting Deloitte Day, a free two track unique interactive career and skills development program in Allen, at Radha Krishna Temple, on June 7th, 2019 from 10am to 4pm conducted by Deloitte. The program offers both half or full day registration. Youth who register in advance and complete either or both program tracks will receive a special certificate of completion. Over 20 Deloitte professionals from the area are volunteering their professional time to conduct these unique hands-on programs.

The right guidance provided in the early years goes a long way in helping youth make informed career and skill choices,” noted Deloitte Senior Manager, Ajay Arora, one of the lead coordinators of Deloitte Day in Allen, Texas.

ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE

Deloitte Day at Radha Krishna Temple is primarily geared to youth, however all ages above 8 years are welcome to attend the program. Registration priority will be given to youth from 8 to 30. Participants will be separated into age appropriate groups for hands on activities.

PICK AND CHOOSE SESSIONS AND TIMINGS

Deloitte Day 2019 provides youth in the DFW and North Texas area with 2 unique workshops will be offered in the morning and then repeated in the afternoon. If you wish to only attend one of the 2 workshops you can choose from a morning or afternoon session. Certificates of completion will be available only for those who sign up in advance!

TRACK 1: DIGITAL TWIN IN ROBOTICS AND AI TECHNOLOGY

The first track focuses specifically on the use of Digital Twin and related applications in robotics and AI technology. Youth will learn the basics of Digital Twin and its applications. Participants will break out into smaller age appropriate groups to perform case study analyses and presentations in a group format. In addition to working with Digital Twin, youth will gain an opportunity to cultivate their team building and collaboration skills.

TRACK 2: BUILD YOUR FUTURE: CAREER DEVELOPMENT AND COUNSELLING

The second track focuses career development and counseling for high school and college students. A panel of Deloitte specialists from a wide array of fields will lead an discussion forum will lead a group discussion forum. Participating youth will participated in break out focus group discussions on specific career streams such as: business and technology consulting, cybersecurity, data analytics and related emerging career fields. Breakout sessions will also cover resume building, personal branding, and body language.

Career track participants will gain exposure to a variety of career fields, can take advantage of the opportunity to resolve doubts and clarify information about choosing a career path. Youth will receive invaluable guidance on how to present themselves on paper and in person, what employers look for in hiring, and many other useful tips for success from successful professionals.

Youth can choose to attend both tracks or just attend a single track. Each track runs twice, therefore, youth attending one track only can select to attend the morning or the afternoon session.
