When Bondage Becomes Blissful

The Shreemad Bhaghavatham describes in detail, the saulabhya or the ease with which Lord Shree Krishna makes Himself available to all. Although the Lord takes various forms, it is through His sweet forms as Shree Radha Krishna and their divine pastimes that He becomes readily accessible to all. The Lord’s saulabhya is most endearing in His Damodar leela, the pastime through which, He allowed Mother Yashoda to bind Him to a mere mortar, by His very abdomen, from which infinite universes emanate!

The Shreemad Bhagavatham gives a vivid description of this episode for all to relish. It describes that during this pastime, upon seeing the stick in His Mother’s hand, little Shree Krishna cried and rubbed His eyes repeatedly with His lotus hands. The collyrium or the kajal from His eyes spread all over His tiny fingers, His bluish cheeks, and His ruby red lips. Pearl like tear drops from His eyes rolled down His soft cheeks to merge with the pearls of His necklace, which was shaking due to His sobbing. The Lord, in front of whom even the God of death shivers, stood shivering in front of a simple cowherd woman, bound by her unalloyed love.

It is with the same saulabhya, that the supreme Lord will enable His infinite grace to descend into the deities of  Shree Radha Krishna, during the prān pratiṣṭha ceremony on the 8th and 9th of July . It will be a once-in-a-life time opportunity to witness the divine rituals that bring numinous presence of divinity into the deities, and engage in an ongoing saga of loving devotional service!

Why seek freedom or liberation when one can receive everlasting and ever-increasing bliss by remaining bound to the feet of the divine?  The Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas extends an open invitation to everyone to immerse totally and completely in this blissful bondage!
