Sankirtan or congregational chanting of the holy name of the Lord creates tremendous divine waves that forcefully cleanse the heart of its material impurities, preparing it to install the Lord’s living presence. It is the highest yajna or sacrifice prescribed in the Vedas. It reflects the desperate call of the tiny soul to Shri Krishna for rescue from the depraved ocean of material existence and a plea for the wealth of selfless divine love.
