From August 23rd to August 25th devotees of Krishna will be flocking to the recently built Hindu temple in Allen, TX to take part in a wide variety of joyful festivities. Also special guest, Swami Mukundananda, founder of the temple, renowned yogi and spiritual teacher, will preside over the festivities and conduct a special weeklong program, Ram Katha Rahasya, starting August 23rd.

Krishna Janmashtami 2019 celebrations in Allen would not be complete without the 2019 Fancy Dress Competition! Children love to dress up as Krishna, Brajwasi or Gopi. Let them immerse into the Braj scene and experience Lord Krishna’s birthday. Parents can sign up their kids in the Creative costume competition. Dress up as Lord Krishna, a gopi, or brajwasi. Costume judging begins at 5:00pm for 3 and under category and 5:30pm for 4 and up age group.

Krishna’s cake cutting ceremony and procession will take place Saturday, Aug 24th from 11:15pm to midnight. Singing happy birthday to Lord Krishna and exuberantly dancing with joy till the midnight hour and ending the celebrations with midnight aarti.
