Holi Hangama 2018 is all set to take place Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 12pm to 5pm at the Fair Park, Dallas, Texas (921 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Dallas, Texas, 75210) – a fun filled program to experience colorful Holi festivities along with a mini Bazaar, rich cultural programs, variety of food and loads of fun for all age groups!
Holi is an ancient festival of India that finds detailed description in very early religious works dating back to several centuries before Christ. It is typically celebrated on the first day of spring. It is the time when social caste is forgotten and traditional rites of dousing each other with colorful water or powdered colors are performed, making each person at par with one another. It is a way to renew relationships, bridge social gaps and experience unity and brotherhood. Marking the beginning of spring season, Holi is a grand celebration of life and a signal for change.
At Radha Krishna Temple this year, over a hundred volunteers are gearing up for this non-profit event, free to the general public, with the sole mission of bringing the community together in a fun filled manner. This year’s Holi Hangama consists of a wide array of activities planned for a variety of interest groups and is going to be celebrated with all organic colors!
