Either having born in India or born and raised in an Indian family here in US, we have heard the stories of Shree Krishna, Shree Ram, or other forms of the Lord all our life. Therefore, meditating on these forms has become easy for us.
However, for complete focus of the mind, we need to do Roopdhyan, which is possible only when we fill our heart with the deep loving sentiments for God, elucidates Swami Mukundananda ji. To develop those sentiments, we have to listen to Shrimad Bhagavatam as Vyas Bhagavan narrates the sweet leelas(pastimes) of the Lord and His devotees.
The more we listen to His leelas, the firmer His splendid form is embossed in our heart. When that happens, His form becomes a firm foundation to do bhakti(devotion). So, do not miss Swamiji’s Shrimad Bhagavat Mahapuran discourse in English.
