Dallas Celebrates Krishna Janmashtami 2019 at Radha Krishna Temple

Celebrate Krishna Janmashtami with jubilance and great fervor at Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas! From August 23rd to August 25th devotees of Krishna will be flocking to the recently built Hindu temple in Allen, TX to take part in a wide variety of joyful festivities. Also special guest, Swami Mukundananda, founder of the temple, renowned yogi and spiritual teacher, will preside over the festivities and conduct a special weeklong program, Ram Katha Rahasya, starting August 23rd.

Visit the special Braj Jhanki rich with Krishna pastimes, swing the Lord in the Jhoolan anytime over the weekend. Immerse in the bliss and sweetness of Krishna Janmashtami kirtan from 10pm to midnight Friday August 23rd and Saturday, from 7:15pm to 11:15pm.

Krishna Janmashtami 2019 celebrations in Allen would not be complete without the 2019 Fancy Dress Competition! Children love to dress up as Krishna, Brajwasi or Gopi. Let them immerse into the Braj scene and experience Lord Krishna’s birthday. Parents can sign up their kids in the Creative costume competition. Dress up as Lord Krishna, a gopi, or brajwasi. Costume judging begins at 5:00pm for 3 and under category and 5:30pm for 4 and up age group.

The Radha Krishna Temple Gift Shop serves the North Texas Dallas area as a great resource for attractive Krishna worship items and Indian clothing, jewelry, and accessories, to help you celebrate this auspicious occasion. The gift shop will be open during temple hours throughout the Janmashtami weekend. Shop the variety of vendors who will also be on site during the special holiday.

Immerse in the pasttimes of Shri Krishna by experiencing the special live Janmashtami kirtan sessions. The richness of the stories, the adornments of Krishna, his pasttimes and associates will bring Krishna’s life alive with the vivid scenes of Braj. Amazing voices, rich poetic verses, and the vibrant energy and jubilant emotion of the singers and musicians will energize you with a taste of Krishna’s divine presence. Live kirtan will take place at Radha Krishna Temple on Friday, Aug 23rd from 10pm to midnight, on Saturday Aug 24th from 7:15pm to 11:15pm.

Krishna’s cake cutting ceremony and procession will take place Saturday, Aug 24th from 11:15pm to midnight. Singing happy birthday to Lord Krishna and exuberantly dancing with joy till the midnight hour and ending the celebrations with midnight aarti.

    Best place to celebrate Janamashtami! Last year, there were lots of people, I always enjoy festivals and celebrations at Radha Krishna Temple in Allen. They do a great job!

    Can’t wait for the celebrations! Last year it was so amazingly done. Lot of crowd, yummy food, divine Kirtans all under guidance of great person Swami Mukundananda ji.

    We celebrated it last year at the Radha Krishna Temple Allen and it was one of the best Janmashtmi celebration we ever had with Radha Krishna decorated beautifully in their full glory and celebrations & dancing and chantings at their festive best!
