The Summer Camp on Robotics and Coding by WIZE Academy hosted at Radha Krishna Temple is a project-based and student-oriented program closely aligned with CSTA’s K-12 Computer Science standards and are designed to meaningfully extend STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning and expanding a child’s mind by through the development of critical thinking and logic and reasoning skills We prepare children to be innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century.

FUN HANDS-ON PROJECTS FOR AGES 4 to 16 yr olds

DATES: JJuly 15 to July 19, 2019 ( 5 days)

TIME: 9am to 4pm daily (Full and Half day options)

SCHEDULE:

9:00 am to 12pm: Robot Petting Zoo

Students participate in a “makeathon” to create a robotic pet to delight and inspire visitors to
the petting zoo. They construct their pets from familiar materials such as cardboard and
craft supplies and use robotic components and programming to bring their creations to life.

12:00 to 1;00pm: LUNCH BREAK – Bring your own sack lunch or buy from temple cafeteria for an extra $30 per week.

1:00 to 4:00pm: Drone Programming and 3D Printing

Experience the thrill of control, coding and flying Drones! Learn computer science fundamentals thru
hands-on experimentation. Use both block and text-based coding to control drones.
Students learn how to design simple 3D models and prepare them for 3D printing. They make something
from scratch and get to take their creations home!

COST:

Half Day – 9:00am to 12:00pm or 1:00 pm to 4:00pm : $190*
Full Day – 9:00am to 4:00pm – $275*
*Currently enrolled Bal-Mukund students receive 10% discount on enrollment.
