Ramayan is the AdiKavya (the first Poem) composed by Rishi Valmiki in Sanskrit more than 5000 years ago. Years later Kavi Tulsidas translated it into Awadhi language. There are multitude versions of Ramayan in almost every Indian language. There are various dances, dramas, puppets, paintings, and sculptures depicting scenes from the Ramayan in the world. Classical, folk, and devotional music is inspired by compositions composed on Ramayan by devotees. Ramayan is universal and has its impact in countries like Tibet, China, Japan, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, etc.
