Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas have the Toastmaster Junior Gavel Club for aspiring youth who are looking to become the cream of the crop! Take the panic out of public speaking by enrolling in the Gavel club today! Inviting Middle school and High School Students (6^th to 12^th grade)!

 

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

• Group and individual coaching on public speaking
• Mechanics of preparing speeches – depth, organization, transition, etc.
• Deliver prepared speeches before the class
• Deliver impromptu talks
• Evaluate speeches of self and others to increase awareness
• Mechanics of effective speech delivery – gestures, voice, vocabulary, etc.
• Provide constructive feedback
• Accept feedback from others in the right spirit

 

Eligibility

• Middle school and High School Students (6th to 12th grade)

 

Sessions

1. Advanced High School Class

This class is for high schoolers (9th - 12th grade) with previous public speaking experience in Toastmasters or any other after-school or in-school public speaking class.

Schedule:

August 2024 - May 2025
2nd & 4th Saturday of the month
10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Start Date: August 24, 2024

2. Advanced Middle School Class

This class is for middle schoolers with previous public speaking experience in Toastmasters or any other after-school or in-school public speaking class.

Schedule:

August 2024 - May 2025
1st & 3rd Saturday of the month
10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

3. Beginners Class

This class is for students in 6th - 12th grade. No prior experience is required.

Schedule:

August 2024 - May 2025
1st & 3rd Saturday of the month
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
